 Meet Jesus

Jesus Christ

by Greek Mystic Vassula Ryden

You are a special creation of God!

The Bible says:--

For you [God] created my inmost being; you knit me

together in my  mother෯mb. I praise you because I am

fearfully and  wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,

I know that full well".

(Psalm 139:13-14)

Though God created us special and wonderful,

our lives have been stained by our sin,

which separates us from God the Creator, for He is Holy.

"There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who

understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away,

they have together become worthless"

(Romans 3:10-12)

The Bible adds 襍 wages of sin is death쯳pan>

 (Romans 6:23)

  This death is not only physical, which may not occur immediately;

but  more  importantly, it  is our spiritual death,

which occurs when our relationship with God is cut off by our sin.

We are in darkness箯rant of our true roots, worth, and goals.

In vain we search for roots in our ethnic background, cultures, traditions, and family history.

In vain we create worth for ourselves in worldly wealth.

In vain we set ourselves worldly goals and scale them to be disillusioned by their vanity.

Our good works and good life do not bridge the gulf that separates us from God.

We are left in darkness and loneliness.

The plastic gardens, dream houses, fairy castles and crystal cathedrals

we build crumble with our death.

Those of us separated from God

 away to eternal punishment쯺p>

(Matthew 25:46).

But there is Good News.

God sent His Son, Jesus, the Light of the World to dispel darkness.

Jesus Christ, the Life, came to give eternal life to all,

irrespective of our belief background- to the nominal Christian and Atheist,

to the Cultist and Satanist.

 The Bible says,

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him

shall not perish but have eternal life"

 (John 3:16).

God loves us and never forsakes or forgets us.

God sent His own Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sin.

Following a spiritual law of substitutionary death,

enumerated by God, centuries before, in the Old Testament of the Bible,

Jesus bore our sins on his body.

﵍ see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man,

though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us쯺p>

 (Romans 5:6-8).

However, Jesus could not be confined to the grave. He rose from the dead.

He thus proved his power over death.

Jesus promises:-

"Because I live, you also will live"

(John 14:19).

He thus provided light to dispel darkness. He says:-

" I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness,

but will have the light of life"

(John 8:12).

We cannot earn this life.

Nothing we do can make us right with God or restore our relationship with God.

We can enter into the new life in Christ only by accepting from God the free gift of salvation.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithﺰ>

and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of Godﺰ>

not by works, so that no one can boast."

(Ephesians 2:8-9).

Salvation is not by deeds but by believing.

嬩eve in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved.쯺p>

(Acts 16:31).

      Four foundational beliefs for Salvation:

             1. I believe, I am a sinner and ought to be sorry for my sin.

             2. I believe, Jesus Christ paid the penalty for my sin by dying in my place and I am forgiven

of  my sin, because Christ has paid for my sins.

             3. I believe, Jesus Christ has risen from the dead and is now alive

             4. I believe, I can experience true life in God only by accepting Jesus Christ

as my personal Savior and Lord.

Four foundational benefits of Salvation:

             1. Experience of God the Creator, as God our Father.

             2. New creation in God the Son, Jesus Christ.

             3. Indwelling of and empowerment by God the Holy Spirit.

             4. Deliverance from guilt.

Do you wish to meet Jesus and accept him as your Savior and Lord?

Do you want to walk in his light, rather than in the darkness of your sin?

Do you desire to avoid eternal punishment and ensure eternal life?

If so talk to God on the lines of the following prayer:-

Dear God, I thank you for creating me in Your love.

I admit my relationship with You have been cut off by my sin.

I am sorry for all my sins. Forgive my sins.

I believe that Your Son Jesus bore my sins and died to pay the penalty for my sin.

I believe Jesus rose from the dead and is now alive.

I accept Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord and invite him into my life.

Show me the life, You want me to live and grant me the grace to live that life.

I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

You have become a new creation in Christ if you have prayed sincerely as above.

Even if you do not feel so, trust in the promises of God.

As you follow the guidance of the Bible, the Word of God,

you will receive a blessed assurance of a new hope

and experience a new life as God works on you and moulds you.

ﲠwe are God෯rkmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works쯺p>

(Ephesians 2:10).

Seven foundational steps for living in Christ:

1.Give God the first place in your life.

孢le yourselves, therefore, under God୩ghty hand,

that he may lift you up in due time.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.쯺p>

(1 Peter 5:6-7)

2.Follow God in obedience.

If you fail, seek Godযrgiveness. God loves you and promises to forgive.

 obey is better than sacrifice.ﺰ>

(1 Samuel 15:22)

捊 we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins

and purify us from all unrighteousness.ﺰ>

(1John 1:9)

3.Study Godׯrd襠Bible.

Seek the help of the Holy Spirit to understand Godׯrd and Godשll for your life.

쬍 Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,

correcting and training in righteousness,

so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.ﺰ>

(2 Timothy 3:16-17).

4.Meet God daily and talk to Him in prayer.

崍 us then approach the throne of grace with confidence,

so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.ﺰ>

(Hebrews 4:16)

Thank God for all His blessings, praise God for all His doings, worship God for all His qualities.

Express your love, seek his forgiveness for your sins,

forgive those who have hurt you and pray for Godࢬessings on them. Present your needs and trust Him to meet them.

Pray for your country, community and church.

Be still before God and let Him speak to you, perhaps through

the Bible or perhaps in your heart. Thank God, believing your prayers have been answered.

5.Attend Godƥllowship. Grow in knowledge of His Word and fellowship of Christians.

ꠠ Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing. ﺰ>

(Hebrews 10:25).

6.Witness Godଯve and tell others about Jesus.

﷍ beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!ﺰ>

(Romans 10:15).

7.Value Godथalings in your life through setbacks and sufferings.

半 also rejoice in our sufferings, because.. suffering produces perseverance;

perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us.ﺰ>

(Romans 5:3-4)

䲡ils] ..have come so that your faith栧reater worth than goldﳰan>

may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor

when Jesus Christ is revealed.ﺰ>

(1 Peter 1:7)
